Department of pathology: Department of pathology has played the role of helping treatment plans in the future by diagnosing tissue and cells under miscroscopes finally after testing them and judging prognoses of diseases.

Histopathology(Surgical pathology)

It is the basic and most wide method by the department of pathology. It diagnoses biopsy tissue through endoscope and imaging interventional procedures and human tissue collected from surgery. For patients with tumor, it predicts prognoses by deciding clinical stages. And it plays the important role of performing customized treatment to meet patients' characteristics by finding tumor markers. It provides
The frozen section room provides information for radical surgery by judging permeation of tumor cells on the cut surface during surgery.

Cytotechnology

Cytotechnology includes ceolomic cell tests targeting body fluid of urine, sputum, ascites, and pleural effusion, fine needle aspiration that tests cells obtained by pricking breast mass and thyroid gland mass with needles, and vaginal smear tests.

Immunostaining test

This method diagnoses lesions by responding to antibody response about unique antigen that tissue produces. The immunostaining test is very helpful for differential diagnoses as specificity and sensitivity are high. For patients with cancer, customized treatment is done by testing various antigen protein that tumor produces

Autopsy

In request of autopsy, it follows instructions for preparing autopsy by reporting it to the head of the department of pathology.
